The Turin 'school', in the production of bitters and digestive liqueurs, enjoyed undisputed fame and clear command of the European market until the beginning of the 20th century and experienced a real 'boom' in mass consumption in the 1950s. Amaro di Torino Doragrossa is a noble homage to this historical tradition and to the territory surrounding the city of the same name.
Bitter spices typical of the territory such as genepi, gentian, wormwood marry the aromatic complexity of other ingredients of Mediterranean or markedly exotic origin such as cocoa, cinnamon and vanilla. The result is a unique, rich and complex organoleptic profile of great pleasantness, perfect as an end-of-meal digestif. Carefully crafted, completely natural, free of preservatives and colouring agents.
Botanicals: | Absinthe, rhubarb, juniper, gentian, tansy, vanilla, cocoa. |
Nose: it presents notes of juniper and star anise and flowery touch of genepy and gentianella on a delicate background of exotic spices including cinnamon, vanilla and a hint of cocoa.
Taste: rich and complex, with persuasive notes of rhubarb, absinthe, genepy, juniper, star anise, vanilla and cocoa. Fine and elegant, moderately bitter.
Finish: fresh and savoury, very long and persistent.
