Listed as early as 1712 as one of Turin’s liqueur specialties, Rosolio evolved over time through a number of increasingly complex recipes until it became the pride and joy of every distiller in the city in the 19th century. Initially, Rosolio recipes were made from individual spices. In fact, we know that the ‘Capolavoro’, the final test to obtain the title of Master of the Alembic in the prestigious Turin school founded in 1739, was very often based on a distillate of cinnamon or cloves, later sweetened. Our Rosolio is carefully crafted, completely natural, free of preservatives and colouring agents.

Botanicals:

Lemon, cinnamon, aniseed and cloves

TASTING NOTES

Taste: Exotic cinnamon and clove notes come to the fore along with fresh aniseed and lemon rind. The circle is closed by a lovely background sweetness evoking typical 19th century aromas and flavours.

Finish: Pleasantly spicy and fresh, very sweet.
