Pescador de Sueños Cuixito is made with maguey Cuixito. Though the name Cuixito is similar to other agave in the Karwinskii family, this is not a Karwinskii. It’s an agave sp, meaning that the species is unclassified for various reasons, which could include it’s rarity in mezcal production or even the limited availability in the wild. This mezcal is made by mezcalero Leoncio Sangiago, whose palenque is located on the outskirts of Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca.
