Amérisse combines the signature blackcurrant of the Merlet family with 11 bitter plants and fruits. A complex and tasty bitter liqueur. Fresh and astringent, fruity and bitter at the same time, and with great complexity, Amérisse brings an original structure to typical aperitif recipes and offers new flavour opportunities for creative mixologists.
Source: | Noir de Bourgogne blackcurrant and botanicals |
Extraction method: | Maceration |
Botanicals: | Gentian, wormwood, angelica, rhubarb, red fruits, citruses |
Its rich nose is dominated by blackcurrant and red fruits with some candied citrus notes. The palate is ample. The natural astringency and acidity of the blackcurrant provide the perfect counterpoint to the sweetness of the liqueur. The bitterness then comes to the fore, with a clear presence of gentian. It paves the way for a finish where bitter and fruity notes respond to each other while the citrus fruits bring a nice freshness. A complex and long-lasting liqueur.
