HEMMINGWAY DAIQUIRI

The original Daiquiri, but adjusted to suit the needs of Ernest Hemingway.
A notorious drinker and writer, who also suffered from diabetes so he needed a drink that was stronger and less sweet than the usual daiquiris. Created in El Floridita in Havana in the 1930’s where Hemingway lived at the time.
Originally called the ‘Papa doble’, otherwise known as the ‘double papa’, this drink was created for him by giving him an extra shot of rum in his daiquiri and substituting the sugar for a more tart liqueur.
