AIR MAIL

The history of the Air Mail is muddled, no one knows exactly where this drink came from. Supposedly created in the 1920’s or 1930’s when the fastest way to send a letter was via Air Mail and the fastest way to get drunk, was by drinking one of these. The earliest written document that we have is a promotional pamflet by Bacardi from the mid 1930’s, which features the drink as one of the drinks you should make with Bacardi rum. Bacardi did and does not claim to be the creator of the drink so its origins remain unknown.
